Spent forever making a mummy costume with calico. The novelty wore off
pretty quick and eventually had to cut my way out of it.
A PHOTO A DAY. PRETTY SELF EXPLANATORY.

Bought over 6 square metres of fabric today to make myself a mummy
costume for halloween.

I've found myself ending up on the last train home way too often over
the last few weeks.

Popped down to the beach this morning. Had hardly any sleep and part
of me just wanted to lay on the sand and pass out under the sun.

There were 5 cop cars here for some reason. 1 was undercover and 1 was
a paddywagon. It was early in the night, they were probably having a
quiet night.

Last pool comp of the year at the uni bar. I got knocked out in the
second round. Things got messy later on.

Had work to do, so went to see a movie tonight instead. Also found my
3D glasses from when I went to see The Final Destination on the weekend.

Was cold and got myself a QUT hoodie. Not cold anymore.

The lovely girl at the coffee place decided I'd be Yahoo today for
something different.

Took part in the Oaktree Foundation's Amazing Race 4 Change in
Brisbane today... and won! We were exhausted after 4 hours of rushing
around town, so you could imagine how good it was to kick our feet up
and sink a couple of free Red Bulls at the end of it.

Played tennis today. Always been a huge fan but never actually played
it. I need a lot more practice, it's not as easy as it looks.

Did some testing for the first year engineering bridge projects at
uni. Breaking stuff is fun.

Got up this morning to find that outside smelled of burning and I
could see smoke from a bushfire near my house. Kinda scary.

Went for a stroll over the new Kurilpa Bridge tonight. First time I
went over it by foot (the other time was on a bike).

Big storm ripped through uni this arvo. It was around for barely a
minute or two but threw horizontal water everywhere. Lucky I wasn't in
my usual spot under this tree.

Went to Arrivederci pizza after uni tonight. The Quattro Formaggi
(four cheese pizza) is awesome.

Did the Brisbane to Gold Coast bike ride on two hours sleep and
practically no riding experience or fitness. Rode through rain, had a
stack which hurt the knee and ankle but it was worth it. I think.

Just had an all you can eat buffet in Four Winds Revolving Restaurant
for a friend's birthday. Really struggling with the cake, too much
prawns and moreton bay bugs...

Went bowling. The ten pin variety that is. As a result the fingers on
my right hand are quite sore. Oh and I lost.

Went to a friend's final year thesis presentation tonight. It went
really well, done in a way that non-transport engineers could
understand and appreciate.

Swung by Wet 'n' Wild today. Weather was great in the morning but was
overcast by lunchtime and before we knew it they closed down all the
rides due to a thunderstorm.

Yes, that's a random door sitting in the middle of a lawn. I assume
the arts students are behind it. Not literally.

Getting back into the groove of teaching can be hard, even though it
was only a week off.

NRL Grand Final day. No more footy for a while after this one... What
will I do?

Had a bunch of sugary stuff for a road trip to Noosa yesterday. Found
a melted sweet mass in my hot car today.

heaps of laughs.

Visited the Northern Busway information centre today. Some cool models
there of the site and proposed works.
